G7 consisting of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdon and the United States threatened Tehran in a statement issued on March 15.
New and severe sanctions will be applied against Iran if it continues to send ballistic missiles to Russian for use in the Ukrainian war.
“If Iran continues to procced delivery of ballistic missiles to Russia, the members of G7 will respond with severe and new punishments for its actions” a senior US official said.
Unnamed US official said that Europe is considering ban Iran Air flights to Europe as one of the punishments for Iran.
The official added that such delivery of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia hasn’t been confirmed yet but there is clearly “potential danger” regarding this issue.
“We demand from third parties who provide financial support for Russia’s aggressive, illegal and completely unjustified war against Ukraine immediately cease their support. Otherwise, there will be severe consciences.”
