Huseyn Mahmudi, deputy of the Department for National Heritage Affairs, informed about this: "Khalaj Turkish is the oldest language belonging to the family of Turkic languages. Currently, there are speakers of this language in the central region of Iran."

Mahmudi informed about the regions where this language is spoken: "Khalaj Turkish is spoken in Talkhab (Acisu) city of Farahan County, Ashtian, Tafresh and Arak districts in a number of villages. However, since the number of speakers of this language is small, it is in danger of extinction.”

He emphasized the ways to preserve the Khalaj Turkish language: "It can help in the national registration of the oral literature of the Khalaj language, which consists of proverbs, local poems and riddles, and the protection of this cultural heritage."

At the end of his speech, Huseyn Mahmudi explained the reason why Khalaj Turkish was included in the list of national heritage, saying that "languages and dialects of every country constitute a large part of their intangible cultural heritage".
