The population gathered near the Arshaq Copper Processing Plant located in Jabdara and other villages of the region.

They protested local villagers not being employed in the plant and young people not finding jobs who moved to other provinces in search of work.

The plant has been operating since 2017. However, its 369 employees and staff are all non-locals, and most of them are brought from the regions where Persians live.

The young people of the villages are unemployed and had to move to Persian regions, such as Isfahan, Tehran, Kerman and Yazd, in search of work.
