The letter of Narges Mohammadi, an Azerbaijani human rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate who is currently under arrest in Tehran’s Evin prison, was read at the meeting.

Nargis Mohammadi praised the Fact-Finding Mission of the UN Human Rights Council, emphasized the systematic violation of human rights in Iran, the wake of widespread protests, the increasing repression against women and ethnic groups.

The UN must continue its works to expose obvious and hidden aspects of gender apartheid and Iranian regime’s crimes against humanity. The oppressive mullah regime that commits crimes against humanity and violates human rights must be targeted and must be pressured by the UN and human rights organizations around the world.

We should note that, the violation of human rights by the Iranian mullah regime was condemned, and it was stated that the Tehran regime's repressions against protesters reached the level of crimes against humanity in a number of cases.
