Iran recalls its ambassador from Azerbaijan

Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, Iran’s ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan, has been recalled, according to the Iranian media.

It is claimed that Iranian ambassador was recalled because his diplomatic mission ended at the end of last year.

Despite the claims of the Iranian media, Abbas Mousavi's term of office was set to end in 5 months.

The ambassador is being called back at the same time that negative articles about him have been appearing in Iranian media for the past few days.

Abbas Mousavi faced huge criticism following an interview he gave to a female reporter in Baku, who was not wearing a hijab.

At the same time, the regime's pan-Iranian followers lost their minds because the Azerbaijani journalist sat next to the Azerbaijani flag.

The Iranian media said that the Azerbaijani journalist was not an official person and that it was against the rules of diplomatic etiquette to display the Azerbaijani flag while the ambassador was being interviewed at the Iranian embassy.
