This was reported by Iranian television.

Mohsen Akbari, the executive director of the Georgian language education project in Buin Miandasht schools, stated that classes began three months ago.

"The official language of the country is Persian, but ethnic groups can also learn their own language, and for this reason, this year, for the first time in the country, the teaching of the Georgian language has begun in Buin Miandasht schools," Akbari said in an interview with Iranian television.

He emphasized that 250 students are learning Georgian in nine schools.

According to Akbari, the teaching of Georgian began in accordance with Article 15 of the Iranian Constitution.

Article 15 of the Iranian Constitution mandates the teaching of Persian and local languages in schools, but there has been no progress in teaching Azerbaijani Turkish for 45 years.
