"Those who act in the direction of our national interests will be supported by our national movement" – South Azerbaijani activist

During a recent meeting in Abbas Lisani's apartment, former political prisoner Siyamek Mirzai and other activists stated that those who serve South Azerbaijan's interests will be supported.

Mirzai emphasized that the authorities' propagation of "Pan-Iranism" is rooted in Persian racism, occupation, and oppression of other nations.

"Pan-Iranism has led to the fragmentation and shrinking of Azerbaijani territories. On the other hand, the pro-Persian policy, which is strongly propagated and carried out in the country, has alienated Azerbaijani Turks from their identity in general sense," said Siyamek Mirzai.

He also stated that communicating and negotiating with Kurdish groups who have their sights set on Azerbaijan's lands and do not recognize the Azerbaijani Turks' national rights will not benefit the people.

It should be noted that Siyamek Mirzai, who fought for South Azerbaijan's rights, was repeatedly detained by Iran's racist authorities.
