She made these remarks in response to Iranian officials' announcement that they will exact revenge for the attack on the Damascus Consulate. In an interview with the USA's New Nation television channel, the speaker stated that "the attack on the building of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus is not considered an attack on a diplomatic place."

Tal Heinrich stated about the building: "According to the information gathered by Israel, the attacked building was actually a military base operating under the name of a consulate."

During the interview, the speaker touched on Iran's history of attacks on embassies: "Iran's history is full of attacks on embassies, including the US embassy in Tehran, and taking hostages."

Heinrich's words refer to the attack on the US embassy in Tehran in 1978 and the hostage-taking of a large number of embassy employees.

"We will stand up and defend ourselves against their (Iran's) sick ways of thinking and the spread of their Islamic Revolution. We will do everything that we consider necessary. But Israel is not thinking of war," the speaker said.
