Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said in a statement that preparations have been completed to deal with any scenario that may occur with Iran.
According to Reuters, Gallant's office issued the statement following an 'operational situation assessment' with senior army officials. The statement said, "Following the completion of the assessment, Minister Gallant confirmed that the defense establishment has completed its preparations to respond to any scenario that may arise against Iran."
Last Monday, the Iranian consulate in Damascus was bombed, killing 13 people, including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahidi, one of the commanders of the Quds Force, the IRGC's foreign arm.
Iran accused Israel of bombing the consulate building and vowed to retaliate. Iranian Chief of General Staff Mohammad Baqeri said that the retaliation "will happen at the right time and place and will make the enemy regret his action." Baqeri also said, "We will determine the method of revenge."
