A member of the Iranian parliament made a strange claim about the depreciation of the Iranian currency against the dollar and the euro in recent months.

Mohammad Hossein Farhangi, a member of the Iranian parliament's Industry and Mining Commission, claimed that Israel was to blame for the Iranian currency's depreciation.

"The most important reason for the increase in the rate is the tension that has arisen following the latest Israeli attack. Israel's attempt to escalate tensions and expand the conflict has had a psychological impact on a variety of markets.
