The French "AFP" news agency provided information on this.
Switzerland represents US interests in Iran, and its mediating role is especially important during times of heightened tensions.
On Monday, the Swiss Foreign Ministry refused to reveal what steps the country had taken in response to Iran's weekend attack on Israel.
However, US and Iranian officials have emphasized the importance of Switzerland's role as a mediator.
Mohammad Bagheri, the Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, told state television that "we have sent a message to America through the Swiss Embassy that if America continues to cooperate with Israel, their bases will not be safe."
