This was reported by the Estonian Public Broadcasting.

Minister Margus Tsahkna stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns the seizure of the ship "MSC Aries" and demands the immediate release of the crew members, including an Estonian resident.

"As global tensions rise, particularly in the Middle East, sailors' jobs become increasingly dangerous. Targeting cargo ships is unacceptable. Iran poses a threat to global peace and security, so additional sanctions against Iran are necessary," the minister emphasized.

Along with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Honorary Consul of Estonia in Tehran is negotiating the release of an Estonian resident whose citizenship has yet to be determined.
