63 people were executed in Iranian prisons within 14 days

Between April 16 and 30, one prisoner was executed every five hours in Iranian prisons.

This was reported by the Iranian Human Rights Organization.

It was reported that 63 people had been sentenced to death in the last two weeks. This brings the total number of Iranian prisoners executed this year to 171.

It should be noted that between 2013 and 2023, 4829 people were executed in Iran, 40 of whom were children.

In 2023, 834 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons, a 43% increase from the previous year.
