Iran's "Mehr" news agency reported on this.

Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian was reported to have spoken at the 15th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member countries in Gambia about the current situation in Turkey-Israel relations.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who met with his Turkish colleague Hakan Fidan, stated that this is an extremely important step given the current circumstances.

Iran's top diplomat also discussed his country's military countermeasures against Israel. According to him, this step should be interpreted as any country's right to self-defense.

According to Hakan Fidan, cooperation with official Tehran on regional and international platforms is one of the country's top priorities. Concerning the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the Turkish minister emphasized the importance of ICT member countries' involvement in resolving the issue.

The parties also discussed the implementation of bilateral agreements, cooperation in various fields, and regional concerns.

It is worth noting that the Turkish government recently decided to restrict trade relations with Israel.
