A group of citizens are not considering voting in the presidential election

As Iran's 14th presidential election approaches, officials are growing concerned about low voter turnout.

The "Hamshahri" newspaper, which is affiliated with the Tehran municipality, expressed one such concern.

Mohsun Mehdian, the newspaper's editor-in-chief, wrote that many citizens are uninterested in elections.

"For several years, we have been dealing with a new and strange type of action related to non-participation in elections; a number of citizens are not interested in the elections in a positive or negative sense, as if they do not see the ballot boxes," said the editor-in-chief.

It should be noted that government-related organizations predict that voter turnout in the presidential elections on June 28 will be around 45%.

According to independent analysts and opinion polling centers, this is not the case, and turnout will be lower.
