Iranian prisoners are forced to vote

Preparations are underway for the mandatory voting of prisoners held in Iranian prisons in the presidential elections.

"Prisoners were asked to force their families to bring their ID cards to the prison so that they can vote on June 28. Those who won't vote will be punished, and those who vote will be given a 3-day leave," the information said.

According to human rights activists and prisoners' relatives, several prisoners who objected to this were transferred to solitary confinement.

It should be noted that a similar incident occurred during the elections for Parliament and the Assembly of Experts.

Prisoners who refused to vote were tortured and held in solitary confinement.
