The trial of four members of South Azerbaijan's national movement began on July 6.
This was reported by local human rights activists.
According to reports, the trial of Davud Shiri, Javad Ahmadzadeh, Huseyn Amani Nadarli, and Alirza Sabri took place in the second section of Tabriz's Revolutionary Court.
The activists in question were accused of "propaganda against the Islamic Republic," "collusion and gathering to attack the country's internal security," and "membership in opposition groups."
According to reports, the court will rule on them within the next few days.
It should be noted that the security forces arrested the national activists on May 18, 2023.
After being interrogated for 1 month, they were temporarily released on bail pending trial.
