Aliakbar Suhani, a high-ranking IRGC officer, was killed on July 9 when the Israeli army launched an IED attack on a car near Damascus.

Israeli journalist Edy Cohen posted about it on his X account.

He stated that, as a result of the attack, one of the Lebanese Hezbollah's high-ranking commanders, Yasser Qarnabsh Abu al-Fadl, was killed.

According to Israeli media reports, the main target of the attack was a Hezbollah member.

Yasir Garanbesh Abulfazl was a key figure for Hezbollah, as he was in charge of transporting weapons and personnel from Syria to Lebanon.

He previously worked as a bodyguard for Hezbollah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

Iranian media and official state institutions did not report on the death of IRGC officer Ali Akbar Sohani.
