Female prisoner executed in Tabriz
The new representative of Iran's leader, Ali Khamenei, in East Azerbaijan province and the Friday prayers leader of Tabriz have been appointed.
According to Iranian media reporting on the matter, Khamenei issued an order approving the new appointment.
As per the directive, Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Motahhari Asl was designated as the envoy of Khamenei for East Azerbaijan and the leader of Tabriz's Friday prayers.
It is noteworthy that the position was previously held by Ayatollah Al-e Hashem.
On May 19, this year, he and other government officials, including the former president of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, died in a helicopter accident.
