Tehran increased the pressure on the opposition

Zahra Mousavi, the daughter of the former Azerbaijani Prime Minister and Ali Khamenei's opponent, Mir Hossein Mousavi, has been dismissed from her position at the Faculty of Art at Al-Zahra University.

Mrs. Mousavi claimed that the security forces were responsible for her expulsion from the university where she had worked for 20 years, and that the Ministry of Science stopped cooperating with her as a result of their pressure.

Zahra Mousavi claimed that her dismissal was due to her support of university students' protests against mandatory hijab rules.

"Being fired from my job is nothing compared to the hardships, arrests, poverty, injustice, and other difficulties we have faced in the last 15 years," Mrs. Mousavi said, referring to the strains on her family since 2009.

It should be noted that, while Mir Hossein Mousavi won the 2009 presidential elections, Khamenei appointed Mahmoud Ahmadinejad president.

The politician from Tabriz called for a demonstration against the falsification of the results and Ali Khamenei's declaration of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as president.

After large-scale protest rallies, Mir Hossein Mousavi was sentenced to house arrest and is currently under house arrest.
