Pezeshkian speaks with the Hamas leader

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas' Political Bureau, called Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

During the phone conversation, Pezeshkian reiterated that the Palestinian issue is a top priority for him.

The new president of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, spoke with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, who “expressed gratitude towards the Islamic Republic of Iran over its support for the Palestinian cause and called for stepped-up diplomatic efforts to end the Israeli regime’s aggression against Gaza.”

It should be noted that prior to this, Iran's leader and his provincial representatives demanded that Pezeshkian follow in Ebrahim Reisi's footsteps.

Although only a few days have passed since his election, the process of quickly integrating the new President into the system has begun.

Throughout this time, he has repeatedly stated that he will support Iran's proxy forces in the region.
