According to reports, Khalkhal residents have protested the destructive activities of sand mines and sand washing plants.

Residents of Khams village claimed that these mines and factories violated the rules of operation, destroyed the region's environment, and exacerbated air pollution.

"We, as residents of Khams village, express our dissatisfaction with the activities of sand mines and related factories, and we demand that they be relocated to another suitable location," the villagers said in a statement.

The protestors demanded that the officials who allowed the activity of the aforementioned enterprises be prosecuted, as this resulted in a change in the village's ecological situation and the destruction of tourism opportunities.

The dissidents' posters highlighted the environmental damage caused by mines and factories in the region and urged them to stop operating.

The posters read, "Let us join hands and preserve the legacy left to us by our ancestors and pass it on to the next generation."

It should be noted that Khams is one of Khalkhal's largest villages and is regarded as one of the region's most popular tourist destinations due to its natural beauty and other attractions.

Despite the fact that there have previously been numerous protests over a similar issue, no action has been taken to resolve the situation.
