Ahmad Jannati, a 98-year-old cleric, has been reappointed secretary of the Constitutional Review Council (the Chairman of the Guardian Council).
The Iranian media covered this story.
According to reports, Siyamak Rahpeyk, a teacher at Forensic Sciences and Administrative Services University, has been elected as the council's spokesperson.
It is worth noting that Ahmed Jannati, a close associate of Ali Khamenei, has been on America's list of sanctioned individuals since 2019.
Previously, he served as Chairman of the Assembly of Experts for several years.
