The Iranian government, in collaboration with the Taliban and al-Qaeda, trains in al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan and funds the organization's terrorist operations in the region.

This was reported by the United National Front of Afghanistan.

"In October 2021, Esmail Qaani, commander of the IRGC's Quds forces, and Saif al-Adl, a representative of the Taliban movement and the leader of Al-Qaeda, held a secret meeting in Tehran, and all the branches of the groups affiliated with Al-Qaeda and the IRGC in the Middle East and Africa agreed to cooperate," according to the information.

According to reports, at this secret meeting, an agreement was reached that the Taliban would provide the necessary space and resources for the training of Al-Qaeda fighters in Afghanistan, while the IRGC would cover the group's expenses.

According to the United National Front of Afghanistan, this was the first recorded face-to-face meeting between three senior officials from the IRGC, the Taliban, and al-Qaeda.

It should be noted that previous reports indicated a close relationship between the Iranian government and Al-Qaeda.

The US State Department addressed this issue in a written statement earlier this year.

"Since 2009, the Iranian authorities have allowed Al-Qaeda to facilitate their terrorist activities by transferring weapons and terrorists to South Asia, Syria, and other places via the main coordination line passing through Iran," the statement emphasized.
