The main condition for establishing a ceasefire in Gaza was announced by Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the primary author of the attack on Israel.
"Vaynet" reported on this, citing an Egyptian high-ranking official.
Sinwar reportedly requested a guarantee of his survival as one of the conditions for a cease-fire.
"After the death of Ismail Haniyeh, Sinwar said through intermediaries that a ceasefire in Gaza is possible if he is guaranteed to survive," the report stated.
Sinwar, who is said to be hiding in Gaza's underground tunnels, has previously stated that dying fighting against Israel is an honor.
According to CNN, after Sinwar was introduced as Hamas' new leader, he urged Qatari and Egyptian mediators to work to end the war.
This coincides with Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar's ongoing incitement and encouragement of Palestinian youths to become martyrs.
It should be noted that Israeli officials have repeatedly stated that Hamas leaders are walking dead and will be executed at the appropriate time.
