Another cultural activist was arrested in Iran

Ramin Shahenda, an Ardabil cultural activist, was sentenced to 6 months in prison and a fine of 10 million Iranian tomans following a complaint from Ardabil's mayor, Mahmud Safari.

Ramin Shahenda was punished for his comments about the municipality's disregard for Azerbaijani historical works, the destruction of Ardabil's greenery, and the city's infrastructure.

Additionally, the Azerbaijani activist was banned from using social media for two years.

"The court's decision against me was politically motivated. This decision has no importance for me and our people; I just wrote the truth and I am being punished for it," Ramin Shahanda said in his last post.
