Afshar Kabiri, general director of the West Azerbaijan Governorate's Department of Social and Cultural Affairs, stated this.

He stated that the number of students dropping out of school in the country has increased dramatically since 2016, with Western Azerbaijan feeling the brunt of the impact.

According to Kabiri, the number of students who dropped out of school in 2016 was 776,000, but that figure has since increased to 1,662,000.

It should be noted that in Western Azerbaijan, insufficient funds are allocated to the field of education; while the average number of educational fields per student in the country is 5.7, in some regions it is 1.7%.

At the same time, one of the primary causes of Azerbaijani students' incomplete education is the forced participation of children and adolescents in order to solve poverty and household problems.
