Israel's airstrike in Beirut, which destroyed an underground bunker where Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was hiding, has brought to light the country's intelligence agencies and their extensive network. More information about the attack has emerged, with one report claiming that Israel discovered the terrorist's location after receiving a tip from an Iranian spy.

The undercover agent informed Israeli officials about Nasrallah's presence at Hezbollah's underground headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut, according to a report in French newspaper Le Parisien. According to intelligence, Nasrallah was meeting with senior members of the militant group at a complex of six buildings in Dahieh, a densely populated area known for its Hezbollah support.

Israeli officials reportedly received the tip on Saturday afternoon, only hours before the airstrike. At about 11 a.m. Lebanon time, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on social media platform X that Nasrallah had been killed, declaring that he would "no longer be able to terrorize the world."

The airstrike represents a significant escalation in Israel's ongoing conflict with Hezbollah, which has long posed a security threat to the region.

According to reports, Israel planned a series of strikes to eliminate top Hezbollah leaders and create a leadership vacuum in the Iranian-backed group.
