The Asian Football Confederation has canceled football competitions scheduled in Iran due to the tensions following Iran's missile attack on Israel and the threat of a retaliatory strike by Israel.
Information about this was published on the website of the Asian Football Confederation.
According to reports, the matches for Asia's "Elite League" and "Champions League 2" will be held in different countries.
As a result, the "Tractor" club of Tabriz, Tajikistan's "Roshan" club, Tehran's "Esteghlal" club, and Saudi Arabia's "Al-Nassr" club will all meet in Dubai, UAE.
"Until the next notification from the Asian Football Confederation, Iranian cities do not have enough security to host Asian teams and competitions," according to the confederation's statement.
