A number of Azerbaijani activists who have been imprisoned in the Evin prison for more than eight months will be brought before the Tehran Revolutionary Court today, October 25, 1403, for final verdicts.
According to informed sources, the judge of the 15th department of the Revolutionary Court, Abulgasim Salvati, will attend this meeting, and Hossein Piri, Ayaz Seifkhah, and Abdulaziz Azimi Kahid will be among the activists summoned to court.
Other prisoners involved in the case are expected to be summoned to court in the coming days.
Morteza Parvin, Baghir Hajizadeh, Taher Naqvi, Hossein Piri, Ayaz Seifkhah, Abdulaziz Azimi Kahid, and Araz Aman were apprehended by Iranian security forces in various Azerbaijani cities in mid-February last year and transported to Tehran's Evin prison.
Despite the persecution of these activists' families and the prisoners' hunger strikes, none of Iran's security or judicial institutions have yet provided a clear response to their situation.
