Pressures on Baha'is are increasing in Iran

The "Mashreq" news website, which is connected to the IRGC writes: "Mossad, Israel's intelligence service, has internal and external control over the Bahá'í community. Therefore, the temple in Akka, Israel, should be targeted."

According to the media agency, Iran's targets will include Baha'i temples and centers.

It should be noted that, despite the fact that there are over 300,000 Baha'is in Iran, the Baha'i faith is not officially recognized by the Iranian Constitution.

According to a decision made by Iran's Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, members of the Baha'i sect are not eligible for citizenship.

This suggestion by a media outlet close to the IRGC increases the likelihood that plans are being made for a new wave of repression against Baha'is.
