This was stated by Israel Katz, who was appointed Minister of Defense by Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.
"I am grateful to Prime Minister Netanyahu for his confidence in appointing me as Minister of Defense. We will work together to strengthen the victory over our enemies and achieve the war's objectives. The destruction of Hamas in Gaza, the defeat of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the prevention of Iran's aggressive activities, and the homes of northern and southern residents are our primary goals in ensuring his return," he stated.
It should be noted that Netanyahu recently fired Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and replaced him with Foreign Minister Israel Katz. Gideon Saar, the minister with no portfolio, was offered the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs.
