Arab activists were placed in solitary confinement

In the central city of Ahwaz, where ethnic Arabs live in close quarters, 15 Arab activists were placed in solitary confinement at the Sheyban prison.

According to reports, this occurred three days ago following the altercation in the prison's eighth section, which houses political prisoners, and the special forces' assault on the inmates.

It should be mentioned that Khosro Torfi, the head of Sheyban prison, and the group he was traveling with visited the eighth section of the prison on November 9.

Arab political prisoners demonstrated against the prison administration for failing to categorize the inmates based on their offenses.

During the conflict, the head of the prison and numerous inmates were hurt when the guards who accompanied Torfi attacked the Arab inmates.

Fifteen political prisoners were beaten and placed in solitary confinement after special forces were called to the prison to quell protesting inmates.
