Jabrayil Pakruh, the father of national activist Farhad Pakruh and a Tabriz resident, was sentenced to six months in prison.
His family released information about this.
According to reports, Section 109 of the Second Criminal Court of Tabriz accused Jabrayil Pakrouh of "spreading false information."
It was opened in response to a complaint filed by the law and affairs department of the East Azerbaijan Provincial Police Command Council, represented by Ali Abbaszadeh.
According to the court's decision, Jabrayil Pakruh should also issue a statement and apologize for publishing false information in one of the country's official newspapers. It should be noted that prior to that, security officers beat and arrested Jabrayil Pakruh.
After being detained for some time, the national activist was temporarily released from Tabriz prison on May 14 in exchange for a 100 million Iranian toman bail.
