A new governor has been appointed to the province of Ardabil, continuing the new appointments made in the governorates under Masoud Pezeshkian's administration.
Fatemeh Mohajerani, a spokesman for the Iranian government, provided details on this.
According to him, a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers was held in the evening of November 17 under the chairmanship of Masoud Pezeshkian.
"With the presentation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the approval of the Cabinet of Ministers, Masoud Emami Yeganeh was elected the 11th governor of Ardabil province," Mohajerani stated.
It should be noted that the governor was born in 1977. He holds a master's degree in architecture and is currently pursuing his doctorate.
Before Emami, Ardabil province was headed by Hassan Ameli, who belongs to the conservative political movement and is the brother of Hassan Ameli, the Friday imam of Ardabil.
