Zeynab Hamrang, a South Azerbaijani teacher and social activist who served her sentence in Tehran's Evin prison, has been released.
The Coordinating Council of Trade Unions of Iranian Education Workers issued a report on this.
Hamrang was arrested by security officers on September 5, 2020, while visiting the city of Khoy in West Azerbaijan province.
The Azerbaijani teacher was released on parole at the end of October 2022, but was arrested again on March 12, 2023, and transferred to the House prison.
In June 2023, the 26th branch of Tehran's Revolutionary Court charged Zeynab Hamrang with "gathering and colluding against the country's security."
It is worth noting that Zeynab Hamrang, who lives in Tehran, is from the Mugan region of Ardabil province.
