Teachers are Leaving Iran

The number of university teachers leaving the country has increased at an alarming rate. In recent years, 25% of university teachers have immigrated.

This was stated by Hossein Simaei Saraf, the Minister of Science, Research, and Technology of the Iranian regime.

According to Hossein Simaei Saraf, "25 percent of the country's university professors have migrated in recent years," which is a "concerning" statistic.

Iran has previously issued warnings regarding the migration of academics, including professors and students, especially those from elite universities.

Simaei Saraf also said that academic migration from Iran is "on the rise" during a gathering of university presidents two months ago.

The Minister of Science only mentioned the "recent years" without providing a precise time frame for the number of professors who left Iran. Furthermore, it is unclear if this statistic only applies to public universities or if non-governmental higher education institutions are also included.
