Previously, there were ten different buyers for Iranian oil; today, 92% of the country's oil is sold to China. If this 92 percent is offered with a 30 percent discount, Iran will cover the remaining costs. That is why the sanctions forced Iran into China's colonial trap.
This was stated by Hojatollah Mirzaei, head of the Research Center at the Iran Chamber of Commerce.
He also stated that China did not pay in cash for the oil it purchased, but rather provided other products, such as electric buses.
Mirzaei mentioned that representatives of the authorities are also taking advantage of the situation.
"The Tehran Municipality proudly presents to the people the buses that China gave us in exchange for oil, at the price it desired and set," said the head of the Research Center.
