Netanyahu Threatened Hezbollah with "Intensive War"

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatened Hezbollah on Thursday with a "intensive war" if it violated Lebanon's fragile ceasefire, which is in its second day and under pressure from both sides.

Hours earlier, the Israeli military claimed it had struck a Hezbollah weapons facility in south Lebanon, where "terrorist activity was identified."

The ceasefire, which went into effect before dawn on Wednesday, aims to put an end to a war that has killed thousands of people in Lebanon and caused widespread displacement in both Lebanon and Israel.

In an interview with Israeli broadcaster Channel 14, Netanyahu stated, "If necessary, I gave a directive to the (Israeli army)" to wage "an intensive war" if the truce was broken.
