Pentagon confirmed that Syria possesses chemical weapons

At the press conference, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that the White House is working to ensure that those chemical weapons do not end up in the hands of anyone who might want to use them against civilians, our US forces, or our regional partners.

"However, I am unable to provide you with any additional evaluation of the country's constitution, you know. We certainly have counterparts and other groups that have ways of getting messages to HTS and other rebel groups, but I am unable to speak to any direct communication with HTS.

However, HTS is not the only aspect of this movement. There are other groups involved as well. I am just not going to be able to go into more detail, but we are looking into our options for communicating with each of those groups," she said.
