Twelve convicts were executed in Iran

Two prisoners who were charged with murder were put to death in South Azerbaijan's Goshachay (Miandoab) city.

This was reported by the Human rights organizations.

Furthermore, nine inmates were put to death in Ghezel Hesar prison in Karaj, and one death sentence was carried out in Adilabad prison in Shiraz. Four of them were charged with drug trafficking, and six of them were hanged for alleged murder.

It should be mentioned that 811 inmates were put to death in Iranian prisons between October 2023 and October 2024. There have been more executions in Iranian prisons since the start of 2024 than there were in 2023.
