Sayyid Ezzatollah Zarghami, Iran's former Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, made this statement.

"The government will not be able to force citizens to follow this law," he stated. It should be noted that the implementation of the "Hijab and Chastity" law, which has been hotly debated for years, has been postponed for several months.

According to reports, Iran's National Security Council made this decision to prevent the spread of citizen protests. Politicians and MPs from the radical political trend reacted strongly and emphasized the importance of enforcing the law.

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in an interview broadcast on national television on December 2 that implementing the "Hijab and Chastity" law is impossible, that society will not accept it, and that it will cause dissatisfaction.
