A mass grave has been discovered in Syria's Aleppo province

In the Syrian Aleppo province's village of Nakkarin, a mass grave containing the remains of civilians murdered by the regime of ousted leader Bashar al-Assad has been found.

According to reports, the mass grave contained the remains of roughly 1,500 people.

According to GunazTV, which cites Turkey's Anadolu Agency, mass graves are still being found during nationwide search efforts following the fall of the Bashar Assad regime.

In Aleppo's Nakkarin village, police officers found a new mass grave. The remains of the bodies believed to belong to the civilians killed by the overthrown regime were discovered in the mass grave.

On December 29, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) reported that another mass grave, believed to be that of civilians killed by ousted leader Bashar al-Assad's regime, was discovered in the Hola region of Homs province.

There are believed to be dozens of undiscovered mass graves throughout Syria. The search measures are intended to remove corpses discovered in mass graves, identify their identities, and determine the fate of the missing.
