13 South Azerbaijani Turkish activists summoned to Court

13 Azerbaijani Turkish activists have been summoned to Tabriz's 15th General and Revolutionary Court to present their final defense.

These activists were arrested last year and held in solitary confinement in the Intelligence Ministry's cell in Tabriz for 100 days under physical and mental torture.

The notice states that the 15th branch of the Tabriz General and Revolutionary Court summoned the 13 activists to court on charges of "gathering and colluding to commit crimes against internal and external security" and "membership in an illegal group with the intention of opposing the Islamic Republic."

According to the report, the cases of Araz Ibrahimnejad, Davud Shiri, Mehrdad Ghaderi, Yurush Mehralibeyli and Hamid Yeganpour have been sent to the investigation for defense, while Mohammad Reza Movahhed and Amir Hossein Aghayi have been summoned for questioning on Wednesday and Thursday.

Ibrahim Avazzade, Huseyn Azadi, Javad Sudber, Ali Babayi, Murtaza NurMuhammadi, and Nasir Razmju must all be in branch 15 in order to defend themselves.
