The Iranian regime sentenced several cultural activists 

The 36th branch of the Tehran Provincial Court of Appeal rejected the appeal of ten Azerbaijani cultural activists, upholding the primary court's harsh prison sentences.

The Azerbaijani activists are also charged with "espionage," "activities against national security," and "gathering and colluding against the security of the country."

According to the court's decision, Ayaz Seyfkhah was sentenced to 14, Araz Aman Zarrinabad to 13, Baqir Hajizade Mazraa to 13, Kerem Mardane Mastalibayli to 11, Tahir Naqavi to 6, Salar Tahir Afshav to 5, Murtaza Parvin Juda to 6, Hasan Ibrahimi to 3, Said Minayi Qishlag to 5, and Fatima Atesh Khiyavinasab to 5 years in prison.

It should be noted that the aforementioned activists were arrested on February 5, 6, and 7, 2024 in the cities of Khiyav, Ardabil, Rasht, Urmia, Tabriz, Tehran, Karaj, Islamshahr, Mughan, and Astara, and were transferred to Tehran's Evin Prison.

Although several of them were temporarily released on bail pending trial after questioning, most remained in custody.
