Schools have been closed for 24 days in the last 3 months

In the last three months, Iranian schools at all educational levels have been closed for a total of 24 days.

Although the reasons for the shutdown have been cited as energy shortages, air pollution, and, in some cases, cold, rain, and snow, observers believe it is due to the country's complete lockdown and the regime's corrupt practices.

Citizens blame the country's ongoing economic crisis for the periodic closures of various state institutions.

On Thursday, the Tehran-based "Sharq" newspaper reported that January and December of this year were "one of the most difficult academic months for students" in Iran following the general lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Sharq, this type of intermittent teaching has clearly reduced the quality of students' learning while also affecting the quality of teachers' work.
