Ten Baha'i women have been arrested by Iranian security officials in the city of Isfahan.
This was reported by the human rights organizations.
According to the information, security forces raided the women's homes on January 22 and detained them. Each of the detained Baha'i women had already been sentenced to 5 years in prison and a fine.
It should be noted that, despite the fact that over 300,000 Baha'is live in Iran, the Baha'i faith is not officially recognized in the Iranian constitution.
According to the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution of Iran, Baha'is are considered non-citizens in the country.
