Human rights activists reported this.

According to reports, political activists Moin Jafari, Ali Mojaddam, Mohammadreza Mojaddam, and Adnan Mousavi—all of whom received death sentences—were placed in solitary confinement 114 days prior to their scheduled execution.

The activists pointed out that "they were only permitted to meet with their family members once during this period, and the consequent lack of information about them has increased suspicions about whether or not the prisoners are alive."

Human rights organizations and the international community have been urged by the families of the prisoners and human rights defenders to exert pressure on the Iranian government to stop the execution of political activists and to provide information about their plight.

It should be mentioned that 54 political prisoners have received death sentences on security and political grounds in different parts of Iran.

At least 24 of these inmates received death sentences from Tehran's Revolutionary and Criminal Courts, and 30 more received death sentences in five other provinces.

Among them are several Azerbaijanis, including Professor Ahmadreza Jalali, a Swedish citizen born in Sarab.
