Direct negotiations with America are necessary for the country's security and national interests.
This was stated in a statement issued by the Iranian Teachers' Organization.
"To achieve maximum national interests and eliminate sanctions, our country must adopt an active negotiation diplomacy strategy," according to the statement.
Negotiations with America are described as a "urgent necessity" in this statement, which also addresses Iran's political, economic, cultural, security, environmental, and especially economic crises.
The teachers, who warned that otherwise the country would face a more difficult situation, backed Massoud Pezeshkian's efforts to reach an agreement with the West.
It should be noted that Iranian First Vice President Mahmoud Arif Pezeshkian has stated that negotiations between him and Trump are not impossible.
"It is possible for the two people to meet, but it is not currently on the agenda," he said in response to a question about whether Pezeshkian and Trump will meet.
