Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a meeting with foreign diplomats.

"We are not trying to create nuclear weapons. It is a simple matter to verify this," he said. The Iranian president said he did not object to additional inspections.

It should be noted that the US Treasury Department imposed new sanctions, saying that Iran continues to use oil revenues to finance its nuclear program, produce deadly ballistic missiles and drones.

"The United States is committed to aggressively resisting any efforts by Iran to finance these malign activities," the statement said.
